Son parcours dans le domaine m\u00e9dical a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 Khartoum, au Soudan, o\u00f9 elle a obtenu son dipl\u00f4me de m\u00e9decine et travaill\u00e9 comme m\u00e9decin g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste. Apr\u00e8s cinq ans de pratique, elle a d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 avec sa famille au Canada, o\u00f9 elle a r\u00e9ussi ses examens pour obtenir son permis d&rsquo;exercice et a postul\u00e9 pour un programme de r\u00e9sidence.<\/p>\n<p>Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 accept\u00e9e au programme de<b> r\u00e9sidence en m\u00e9decine familiale de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 Dalhousie<\/b> \u00e0 Miramichi, au Nouveau-Brunswick, un programme novateur qui a fait date en tant que premier programme du genre dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p>La Dre Sarah et son coll\u00e8gue r\u00e9sident sont les premiers r\u00e9sidents permanents \u00e0 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s sur ce site. Mais c&rsquo;est Miramichi qui l&rsquo;a s\u00e9duite.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00ab<i> Khartoum est une grande ville, mais elle a l&rsquo;ambiance d&rsquo;une petite ville, tout comme Miramichi. L&rsquo;ambiance, les gens&#8230; tout cela me rappelait chez moi. Et j&rsquo;ai trouv\u00e9 la paix ici<\/i>. \u00bb<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Qu&rsquo;est-ce qui l&rsquo;a vraiment marqu\u00e9e ? Les gens.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00ab Leur gentillesse est authentique et incroyable, et je l&rsquo;appr\u00e9cie vraiment. Elle passe deux jours par semaine en m\u00e9decine familiale sous la supervision du Dr Martin, o\u00f9 elle s&rsquo;occupe de ses propres patients et examine des cas tous les jours. Le reste de la semaine, elle se forme dans diff\u00e9rentes sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est le mod\u00e8le de soins de sant\u00e9 de Miramichi qui la passionne le plus.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>\u00ab La sant\u00e9 Horizon rend les soins collaboratifs accessibles.
