SUMMARY:12th annual Purse Auction fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:After a year’s hiatus\, the Rotary Club of Miramichi is pleased to announce that it is hosting its 12th annual Purse Auction fundraiser on Friday\, Nov. 7\, at Tyra’s Infinity Centre (1 Marina Dr.). The doors open at 6 p.m.\, with the event getting underway at 7 p.m. The theme of this year’s purse auction is “Carry Kindness: A Touch of Literacy and Style.” Proceeds from the event will support Rotary literacy initiatives in the Miramichi area and beyond. Guests at the Purse Auction will have a chance to win door prizes\, as well as the grand prize Coach Bleecker Bucket Bag purse\, a brass Coach Cherry Charm\, and cash. The grand prize\, generously donated by Sutherland Environmental and Petroleum\, is valued at $1\,000. The event will also feature fashion shows led by Denim Wearhouse and Mrs. Coats & More. The Sobeys bakery in Douglastown will provide desserts\, and coffee and tea will be available. Silent auction items donated by local businesses and individuals will be up for bid. Tickets are available for $50 each at Denim Wearhouse\, Three Dog Distilling Company\, Mrs. Coats & More\, and Scott’s Pharmasave.

DESCRIPTION:Visit the Christmas Market & Hot Cocoa Cafe Saturday\, November 8\, from 9-2 in the Saint Samuel’s Parish Centre in Douglastown. This event is a fundraiser for the Religious Ed. program at Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish and will feature lots of local craftspeople with baked goods\, preserves\, jewelry\, knitting & sewing\, as well as representatives selling your favourites like Tupperware\, Pampered Chef\, Sweetleggs\, and more! The Hot Cocoa Cafe will be selling warm drinks and treats. Bring a friend\, grab a cuppa\, and get a head-start on your Christmas shopping! See you at the market!
