The Greater Miramichi Service Commssion developed a Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan (CWRP) to strengthen local preparedness and reduce wildfire risk across our communities. This project brings together local governments, First Nations, provincial agencies, and residents to identify vulnerable areas, assess wildfire threats, and plan effective mitigation strategies.

Using GIS analysis, field assessments, and community input, the CWRP maps risks, evaluate firefighting capacity, and recommend practical actions to protect people, property, and critical infrastructure.
