MirConnex Regional Transportation

Operated by volunteer drivers using their personal vehicles, this service helps individuals reach essential destinations such as medical appointments, grocery stores, or community supports.

The program supports low-income residents and those without other transportation options. Rides must be booked in advance and are available during regular business hours, based on driver availability. Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage, and clients pay an affordable fee based on a set scale.

Our Goals

  • Deliver safe, inclusive, and affordable transportation.
  • Support residents who lack access to other transit options.

Partners in Service

This non-profit program is a partnership between the Northumberland Community Inclusion Network and the Greater Miramichi Service Commission, with support from the Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation (ESIC) through the Community Transportation Grant.
