Planning Review & Adjustment Committee (PRAC)
The Greater Miramichi Region is served by two PRACs: one for the City of Miramichi and one for the remainder of the region served by the Greater Miramichi Service Commission. Appointed by the GMSC Board, these committees carry out important advisory and decision-making roles under the Community Planning Act.
From reviewing zoning variances and conditional uses to advising on subdivision plans and infrastructure, PRAC decisions play a key role in guiding how communities grow and develop. Their work is supported by professional Planners and governed by the PRAC By-law & Operating Procedures.
Whether you’re planning a development or proposing a land change, the PRAC ensures that growth in our region is thoughtful, balanced, and aligned with local and provincial regulations.

NOTICES
Notice letters are uploaded only for files requiring a PRAC decision, not for those where the PRAC simply offers its 'views' to council.
